Narayan Rane, the Union Minister and BJP leader threatened the opposition Shiv Sena Party saying that he knows the deep secrets about the party members and threatened to expose the leaders of Uddhav Thackeray-led party.
So all these controversies started with the Independence day speech by the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Narayan Rane threatened the oppositions because he was arrested after the anger expression showed against the CM during his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ saying that he would slap the CM for not knowing the year of independence.
Rane’s remarks created a fuss and a major political storm on the state. Shiv Sena planned and plotted a series of protests demanding Rane’s arrest.
When Rane was released on bail, he furiously intimidated the shiv Sena party and said he would reveal the cases and endanger the lives of the leaders “step by step”. Rane flew to Ratnagiri on Friday morning to resume his Jan Ashirwad Yatra, which was halted because of his arrest.
“I am not afraid of anyone and I am not backing out. My words were an expression of anger against the chief minister (Uddhav Thackeray) who forgot the year of India’s Independence. I only told reporters what he had already said, so how can it be a crime,” Rane said.
He also claimed that “he has worked with them over 39 years, and he knows a lot of things. He knows who conspired against his own sister-in-law.” He smartly played the game and claimed that he knew who had asked whom to throw acid on his sister-in-law.
Narayan Rane became the state CM in 1999 as a Shiv Sena worker. Later in 2005, he joined Congress and stayed their till 2017 as he was expelled from the Shiv Sena for “anti-party activities”. Rane worked with the party for several decades.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut intended Rane and slammed that some “new comers” in the BJP have blemished the relationship between the two parties.
Rane indirectly Questioned Uddhav that, “What did one achieve by arresting a Union Minister? As if I was a gangster. He knocked on the CM that why similar actions were not taken on similar remarks by him on the BJP leaders.
Vinayak Raut, Shiv Sena Member of Parliament said they are not against Rane’s Yatra. “But it should be held in the manner it is expected to be carried out. He has been attacking and targeting Shiv Sena and our leadership out of his personal enmity. Whether to give permission or not is the decision to be taken by Sindhudurg administration amid the prohibitory orders (restricting assembly of people).”
“If I was a gangster according to the Sena, that party made me the chief minister. Was it OK with the party then?” asked Rane, who quit the Shiv Sena in 2005.
“I am going to follow up the suspicious death of Disha Salian, former manager of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput who died by suicide after his death. I believe a state minister is involved in it,” Rane further said.
The district BJP President of Yavatmal Nitin Bhutada submitted an application to Umarkhed police officials asking for registering an FIR against the Chief Minister of Maharastra alleging that latter had called for beating Adityanath with “chappals” for “insulting” Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during the Sena’s Dussehra rally on October 25, 2020.
He also added that “The Sena boy, Sardesai had come outside my home and threatened me. If he comes next time, he won’t go back”. There were also protests by Yuva Sena outside Rane’s bungalow in Mumbai.
