The Punjab Police is making significant strides in their efforts to apprehend the chief of the Waris Punjab De group, Amritpal Singh. The police have taken action by arresting six of his associates in three vehicles, while Singh managed to evade capture in a Mercedes car.
According to reports, the police have registered three cases, including one for hate speech, against Amritpal Singh, and he is being pursued continuously. It is expected that Singh will be apprehended soon.
The Punjab police were closely monitoring Singh’s convoy throughout the morning, and when it reached near Mahatpur, the police surrounded it and detained six of his associates in two vehicles. During the operation, a large quantity of weapons was also recovered from the associates of Amritpal Singh.
This is not the first time that the Punjab police have taken action against the associates of Amritpal Singh. A few days ago, the police had arrested Gurinder Singh, who was attempting to leave the country. Earlier, a lookout notice had been issued against him, and the police had canceled the arms licenses of nine of Amritpal Singh’s associates.
The Punjab Police is taking this matter seriously and is doing everything possible to bring Amritpal Singh to justice. It is a matter of concern that groups like Waris Punjab De are promoting hate speech and violence. The police have urged the public to report any suspicious activity related to such groups and to cooperate with them in their efforts to maintain peace and order in the state.
