Rotaract Club ran Project Anand in full swing across Delhi

With the aim of spreading the joy of giving, The “Rotaract Club of Ashoka Artisans” initiated a distribution drive— “Project Anand”.

Rotaract Club of Ashoka Artisans, RID 3012 is one of the youth wings of Rotary International. This club provides its services in various avenues, such as Community Service, International Service, Vocational Service, and the like.
Creating a roadmap for various social services, the donation drive covered some significant localities of Delhi.

Activities conducted by Rotaract Club Volunteers

A mobile library with seventy five books was set up at Laxmi Nagar, attracting readers from all walks of life. Rotary club volunteers actively distributed fifty toys to underprivileged children at Azadpur Metro Station. Clothes distribution drive at Model Town Metro Station was a huge success as more than 140 clothes were given to brighten up the lives of those who aren’t taken care of. Rotaract Club’s coveted project ‘Annaratnam’ helped in  distributing more than sixty food packets and brought smiles of gratitude on their faces.

An awareness session about reproductive health and its everlasting significance for overall health of individuals, especially youth of society was conducted. Alongside, seventy two condoms at Timarpur Metro Station and 500 sanitary napkins at GTB Nagar Metro Station were respectively distributed. The club volunteers made sure people were informed about usage of these products and their safe disposal. Considering the growing heat and possible spread of water-borne diseases, the Rotary Club took a step forward and distributed fifty water filters in the slums of Pitampura. They look forward to continuing these proactively in other areas of Delhi as well.
