The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) presents the prestigious Oscar award annually to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements. At the 95th Academy Awards, India had a remarkable night, winning two Oscars. Natu Natu” from the movie RRR won Best Original Song. The Elephant Whispers won the Best Documentary on Short Subject award at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. This makes it a historic day for the Indian film industry and its audience.
In Oscars Deepika Padukone introduced the live performance of Natu Natu, describing the song as a “banger.” The audience gave a standing ovation to the performance, and the team behind RRR, including director SS Rajamouli and actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, attended the awards.
Unfortunately, Shaunak Sen’s All the Breaths film did not win an Oscar but it was nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film. The award went to Navalny. other nominated films were All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, Fire of Love, and A House Made of Splinters.
The American absurdist comedy-drama action film Everything Everywhere All at Once won an impressive seven awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing.
Brendan Fraser won the Best Actor award for his work in The Whale, while Avatar. The Way of Water won the award for Best Visual Effects, and Top Gun, Maverick won the award for Best Sound. All Quiet on the Western Front won the prestigious Oscar for Best International Film.
